PRESS RELEASE — CHANNEL PARTNERS EVOLUTION — LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sept. 25, 2017 — TPx, the premier managed services carrier (formerly known as TelePacific), announced that it is a Silver Sponsor at the 14th  Women in the Channel  (WiC) Networking Event during Channel Partners Evolution. The WiCConnect event will be held from 5-8 p.m. on September 25th, in 18C & D on the 4th floor of the Austin Convention Center.

WiC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology. Its signature events are a mix of peer networking, motivational remarks, professional development and progress report on WiC’s many initiatives.

WiCConnect Austin 2017’s theme, “Lead Through Change,” takes a page from the Channel Partners Evolution event, which is all about digital transformation for the channel and its customers. WiC’s members are women in the channel that are either leading or looking for opportunities to lead their teams, departments, divisions or organizations through digital transformation.

Tech leader and best-selling author Sandy Carter, vice president of Amazon Web Services, will deliver the keynote address on “7 Ways to Lead Through Change.” Carter, a leading pioneer in the digital business revolution, was a driving force of innovation at IBM for the last decade. After a celebrated career at IBM, she’s now a “newbie” at AWS. She’s no stranger to change and, in fact, she embraces it as an “extreme innovator.”

“We appreciate our longtime partnership with TPx, which has consistently supported Women in the Channel’s programs and events since the beginning,” said Rebecca Rosen, WiC Sponsorship Chair and vice president of marketing for Broadvoice. “WiCConnect Austin and our many education and mentorship services empowering women in tech channel careers would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors like TPx.”

“WiC is a tremendous organization whose community and initiatives have championed, cultivated and inspired hundreds of talented leaders in our industry,” said Ken Bisnoff, senior vice president, strategic opportunities for TPx. “We’re honored to support WiC with this sponsorship and look forward to participating in what is always a great event.”

“I’m particularly happy to acknowledge the continuing support that my company, TPx, gives to WiC, since it reflects the deep and strong support they’ve given to the channel and the development of women in it,” said Hilary Gadda, director of national channel development at TPx and WiC’s president.  “I know from personal experience that TPx’s commitment is much more than a pro forma one.  WiC knows that we can count on TPx’s active involvement and championing of our goals as we continue to grow.”

The Women in the Channel Networking Event is open to all women attending the Channel Partners Evolution. It is FREE to all WiC members and $20 for non-members.
