60. The Lloyd Group Inc., New York, New York, United States: After making a key acquisition in early 2011, The Lloyd Group lifted is recurring revenues roughly 14 percent and the company now manages more than 6,000 customer devices. President and CEO: Adam Eiseman.

59. Global Data Consultants, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, United States: From traditional managed IT services for SMB customers to application development for enterprises, Global Data Consultants has diverse revenue streams. The 185-person company lifted top-line revenues roughly 30 percent in 2011, and managed services revenues more than doubled. President and CEO: Gregory Courtney

58. Integrated IT Solutions, Waltham, Massachusetts, United States: The MSPAlliance member now manages more than 1,800 desktop and mobile systems, an impressive figure for the 36-person company. President: Arthur Ataie

57. Service Assurance, Memphis, Tennessee, United States: The HP Elite partner grew its recurring revenues roughly 50 percent in 2011, and employee ranks hit 90 people. Total systems monitored include more than 10,000 desktops and mobile devices plus more than 3,700 servers. CEO: Mark Giannini

56. Safe Systems Inc., Alpharetta, Georgia, United States: Another vertical-market MSP, Safe Systems protects data for banks and credit unions. President: Darren Bridges

55. outsourceIT, La Plata, Maryland, United States: Shortly after our 2011 survey ended, outsourceIT completed another M&A deal — positioning the company for VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) growth. But even before the M&A deal, outsourceIT grew its recurring revenues more than 60 percent in 2011. CEO: Craig Guice.

54. Trivalent Group Inc., Grandville, Michigan, United States: The company’s roots date back to 1971, but Trivalent Group has certainly kept up with the times. Recurring revenues rose about 11 percent in 2011 and the company has more than 2,500 customer systems under management. CEO: Larry Andrus.

53. Vintage IT Services, Austin, Texas, United States: Another worthy MSP in the hotly contested Texas market, Vintage IT Services lifted its recurring revenues nearly 20 percent in 2011, while increasing top-line revenues more than 20 percent. President: Sheryl Hanes

52. Mirus IT Solutions, Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom: Whenever MSPmentor looks at the European market, Mirus IT Solutions seems to catch our eyes. Mirus is the first European MSP to earn CompTIA’s MSP Partners Trustmark. Recurring revenues rose more than 25 percent in 2011. Managing Director: Paul Tomlinson.

51. CompuVision, St. Albert, AB,Canada: The 83-person lifted its annual recurring revenues more than 15 percent in 2011, managing nearly 2,000 PCs and mobile devices. CEO: Ryan Vestby

50. SecureConnect Inc., Eden Prairie, Minnesota, United States: Pushing beyond traditional PCI compliance, SecureConnect has introduced security services for hospitality, retailers, restaurants and other types of merchants. Recurring revenues rose about 25 percent from 2010 to 2011 at the 53-person company. President: Dave Perrill

49. United Computer Sales & Service Inc., Cherry Hill, New Jersey, United States: Serving the financial, municipal and commercial customers, UCSS lifted its recurring revenues 30 percent in 2011. President: Kevin Runyon

48. Cal Net Technology Group, Chatsworth, Calif., United States: Now 17 years old, Cal Net continues to grow its recurring revenues — up nearly 20 percent in 2011. The result: Cal Net is one of Southern California’s top MSPs. CEO: Zachary Schuler.

47. Systems Solution Inc., King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, United States: Founded in 1999, SSI has accelerated its growth through managed services. Indeed, recurring revenues jumped about 30 percent in 2011 and the company now manages more than 5,900 customer systems. CEO: Richard Wein.

46. The Online Backup Company, Oslo, Norway: Talk about a well-defined name that’s search-engine optimized from the start. The Online Backup Company lifted its recurring revenues 75 percent. CEO: Alexander Hagerup

45. CT Networks, Hauppauge, New York, United States: The VoIP service provider has earned Google reseller status while also lifting its recurring revenues 40 percent in 2011. The company has roughly 7,000 customer devices under management. CEO: Barry Goldstein.

44. Xantrion Inc., Oakland, California, United States: Serving Northern California’s Bay Area, Xantrion lifted recurring revenues more than 40 percent in 2011 by focusing on Net Promoter Score metrics to make sure customers rave about the company’ services. CEO: Anne Bisagno

43. NetStandard Inc., Kansas City, Kansas, United States: Pushing beyond managed services, NetStandard now has a cloud platform — called Myappsanywhere — that promotes Microsoft apps to customers. The strategy appears to be succeeding; recurring revenues grew 44 percent last year at the 76-person company. CEO: Jeff Melcher

42. Bluelock, Indianapolis, Indiana, United States: Perhaps better positioned as a cloud services provider, Bluelock works closely with VMware but also offers traditional managed services. The winning mix has allowed Bluelock to generate more than 40 percent of its revenues from recurring services. President and CEO: Christopher Clapp

41. White Glove Technologies, Austin, Texas, United States: Organic growth coupled with M&A activity has helped to make White Glove one of the top MSPs in Texas. Nearly half of all revenues at the 100-person company are recurring. CEO: Tommy Wald.
