Channel Partner Program Roundup: Accuvant, AppSense, RapidMiner

Hey Roundup Rangers, it’s Thursday, and you know what that means: a whole new batch of channel partner news delivered directly to your screen. This week we’ve got the latest buzz from Accuvant, AppSense and RapidMiner.

Accuvant: Security providers Accuvant and FishNet Security will officially relaunch as Optiv Security this summer, following the companies’ recent merger in February. The company announced the new name of the joint effort during RSA Conference 2015 in San Francisco.

“The Optiv name and brand launch, scheduled to take place this summer, will represent an important milestone in the evolution of our company,” said Dan Burns, chief executive officer for Accuvant and FishNet Security, in a statement. “It will serve as the umbrella under which Accuvant and FishNet Security will formally become one entirely cohesive, advanced and comprehensive cybersecurity solutions provider.”

Accuvant said the Optiv moniker is derived from “active” and “operative” to allude to intelligent collaboration and providing organizations with a clear field of vision for their actions. The company’s new headquarters will be located in Denver, with its current Overland Park, Kansas, location serving as a showcase facility. More information on the brand change is expected after the launch this summer.

AppSense: Enterprise workspace management solution provider AppSense named its 2014 North American Partners of the Year this week during the company’s inaugural AppSense Elevate Partner Conference. Winners included Compugen (Western region, Canada), Gotham Technology Group (Eastern region), Accudata Systems (Central region), and Hogan Consulting Group (overall).

Winners were chosen based on their overall revenue and commitment to growing their AppSense business practices and core competencies, according to the announcement. The speed at which partners increased their customer base also factored into the final decision.

“Since the launch of our new channel program last year, these partners have performed exceptionally, driving impressive revenues that particularly stood out,” said Jim Airdo, vice president of Channel and Professional Services at AppSense. “The channel is critical to AppSense’s success and these awards are a testament to the value we place on our partners.”

RapidMiner: Analytics platform provider RapidMiner expanded its Global Partner Program this week with the addition of 12 new VARs and system integrators, including PI-Cube and WekaMine from the United States. The remaining partners will sell RapidMiner’s solutions in EMEA and APAC.

“Our code-free modern analytics platform is attractive to partners because of the speed at which they can add value, and therefore provide their products and services across diverse industries,” said Marcus Adams, RapidMiner’s director of Global Channels and Alliances. “It’s our top priority to put the power of predictive analytics in the hands of our partners to generate new revenue opportunities and increase profitability within their own organizations.”

We hope you enjoyed this week’s batch of news, and we’ll see you back here next week for the latest partner developments. Until then, stay safe out there.
