Shutterstock, a SaaS backup provider, has launched a new partner program for MSPs to resell G Suite and Office 365 backup.

The Afi Partner Program allows MSPs to grow their recurring revenue and provide additional SaaS data protection services to their end customers, according to the company. Partners resell, provision and manage protection for their clients from a multitenant web console that provides a single pane of glass for managing all Office 365 and G Suite applications.

Vincent Marino,’s chief product officer, tells us this is his company’s first partner program.

“We originally launched the service for end-customers and served them directly, and many customers recommended us to their MSPs who turned out to be very interested in a new G Suite and Office 365 backup solution,” he said. “When we started to work through partners, we received a lot of feedback and additional requirements that are specific to MSPs — most importantly the ability to provision (create subscriptions), monitor and manage for multiple customers via web-based partner portal; the ability to integrate with key MSP systems via API; additional security and access control setting in order to assign the admin roles within MSP team.”

All of these additional requirements are addressed as part of the program, and the partner portal, granular administrative roles and API will be available starting Oct. 16, Marino said.

“I can also add that the feedback we often get from the partners is the ability to use their own cloud storage. This enables them to resell more AWS/Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and also gives more control in terms of where the clients’ data is stored,” he said.

With the launch of program, MSPs globally will have the following benefits: access to a fully managed SaaS backup platform; customizations and integration into reseller workflows; performance and support of cloud applications; and access to unique product features.

“[The) smallest MSPs can start reselling Office 365 and G Suite backup services in minutes, with cloud storage, management console and billing managed by Afi,” Marino said. “For larger partners, Afi provides custom billings systems and remote monitoring and management (RMM) integrations, backup to partner-owned S3 cloud storage and other unique capabilities enabling workflow automation and greater control for large service providers.”

Resellers can apply for the program via the website and most partners are fully onboarded within two hours after they apply.

“We primarily resell and support Office 365 for small and medium clients,” said Peter Petrov, CEO of BurglariaIT. “We are very impressed with the simplicity of Afi partner program and their products. It took us less than two hours to apply for the program and complete our first sale. From [the] Afi web-based partner dashboard, we can manage and monitor backups for all our active clients and create subscriptions for new clients.
