Master agency Telarus now is an “elite” agent in Telesystem‘s partner program.

Telarus joins a group of eight existing elite agents that are paid at the top residual and bonus levels. Bruce Wirt, Telesystem’s vice president of channel sales, tells Channel Partners his company’s secure internet-as-a-service product set allows Telarus partners to sell inline, always-on, distributed denial of service (DDoS)-mitigated internet service to customers across the United States.

“This product opens up opportunities for partners in education, finance and other security-focused verticals,” he said. “Other DDoS products may be cost prohibitive, and may involve proxy routing all of the client’s inbound internet traffic.”

As Telesystem’s regional channel managers are recruiting partners, “they often get requests to have the business placed under Telarus,” Wirt said.

“Getting this agreement in place was key to accommodating those partners,” he said. “Furthermore, Telesystem views Telarus as a key relationship for our success in 2018 and beyond.”

Telesystem and Telarus kick off their partnership with a Telesystem-hosted Telarus Innovation Conference, Feb. 15, in Denver, and Feb. 22, in Atlanta.

“Telarus is thrilled to partner with Telesystem to bring voice, network services, security and cloud and managed services to our partners,” said Patrick Oborn, Telarus’s co-founder and vice president of partner experience. “Like Telarus, they are known for their home-grown software pricing tools and mobile apps that are unique in the industry.”

Last month, Telesystem appointed Laura Kennedy as its elite-agent coordinator.
