ServiceChannel, a provider of SaaS-based service automation technology for facilities managers and contractors, on Wednesday unveiled its new solution partner program.

The program initially is focused on adding new technology providers and capabilities. Charter partners in the program include Archaio, Avalara, GridPoint, PhoenixEnergy and more.

Tom Buiocchi, ServiceChannel’s executive director, president and CEO, tells Channel Partners his company decided to move to a more open platform concept to use the “best-of-breed solutions in the market — and (we) now have the flexibility to meet a much broader range of client needs.”

“By allowing third-party applications to integrate with ServiceChannel (and vice versa), customers will gain greater transparency, automation and efficiency through one common user experience,” he said. “For example, we have now extended into new, very specific vertical solutions (i.e. snow plow, gas-tank monitoring and dispensing), and can also now address new areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), energy management systems (EMS), commercial refrigerant monitoring, food monitoring and safety, site inspections, tax-rate validation and workplace planning.”

Customers now gain access to a more comprehensive, easy-to-use offering by using ServiceChannel’s partners’ technology with its automation suite, Buiocchi said.

“They now benefit from using one platform where data is shared automatically, ensuring data consistency and reducing manual errors,” he said. “Like most platforms, we want to accommodate any integrated solutions that make it easier and more efficient for our customers, so it’s really only limited by imagination and adds value where our customers need it most. And, as you can see from our first set of new partners, there is quite a broad range of solution areas.”

“We are excited to be one of the first of ServiceChannel’s new solution partners,” said Roy Judelson, Archaio’s founder. “Archaio’s powerful inspection and visualization tools enhance and bring significant benefits to the ServiceChannel platform. Like ServiceChannel, we have been at the forefront of modernizing facilities management, moving traditionally paper-based workflows onto mobile devices, and together we can bring immediate return on investment to both existing and new joint customers.”

In May, ServiceChannel announced it had raised $54 million from Etsy and Facebook backer Accel.
