OS33's new program gives MSPs an opportunity to enter security.

OS33 is rolling out its workplace_ Provider Program to give MSPs an opportunity to sell and deliver its offering to firms in highly regulated industries such as financial services, legal, accounting, insurance, health care, pharmaceuticals and energy.

The workplace_ offering has been bundled to include security and compliance features, including multi-factor authentication, advanced disaster recovery, seven-year file retention, secure web browsing with web filtering, endpoint device validation and audit tracking.

Brett Jaffe, OS33’s vice president of channel development, tells Channel Partners his company entered the channel in 2008 with its first partner opportunity, and as both the platform and channel developed, “we have made different iterations of our offering and are now heavily focused on regulated industries where we can provide product development and resources as that space continues to grow.”

“We have seen that by helping our partners target and deliver to those industries, we can help them expand both strategically and profitably,” he said. “Our newest channel iteration, the workplace_ Provider Program, has formalized that security and compliance focus with packaging, pricing, marketing, and greater service resources that enable the long-term success of our channel partners.  We are excited to see our partners grow and consistently win profitable deals in this space.”

The new program gives MSPs an opportunity to enter security, Jaffe said. Gartner estimates that IT security spending will soar to $101 billion in 2018.

“This is increasingly relevant in small businesses where more than 50 percent have been cyberattacked, and 55 percent cease operations within six months after a major security breach,” he said. “Gartner has also found that the largest portions of cybersecurity spending will be on consulting and outsourcing as well as regulatory compliance. Generic IT managed services are no longer enough to compete. Our workplace_ platform allows MSPs to provide a comprehensive cloud suite to security-conscious clients without sacrificing mobility or having to put all the parts together separately.”

Workplace_  aggregates a company’s entire IT infrastructure, including all apps, data and documents in one secure digital hub that can be fully controlled and safely accessed from any firm-approved mobile device, according to OS33. MSPs don’t have to piece together an offering for regulated firms from multiple vendors—an option which is often costly and difficult to scale, the company said.

“Over the past five years, workplace_ has helped us differentiate our business and compete successfully in those spaces where security and compliance are a concern,” said Mike Perkins, president of Data Network Group, an MSP that focuses on computer support services for SMBs. “As many IT services become commoditized, we are excited that workplace_ continues to allow us to retain high profitability and deliver solutions to industries who truly benefit from the offering.”
