snom technology has doubled its factory warranty to two years on its entire line of IP phones and its PA-1 pager, a move it says will boost a customer’s return on investment.

This move lowers the cost of ownership of snom phones since it helps avoid any extended warranty charges, the company said. It helps secure ROI by guaranteeing that the phones will be reliable.

“Warranty returns on snom products are negligible, so an extension of the warranty coverage simply reinforces customer’s peace of mind when purchasing snom products,” said Chris Meehan, managing partner of Novus LLC, a telecommunications equipment distributor and snom partner.

snom says its phones’ durability, combined with provisioning tools and free firmware upgrades, the extended warranty helps distributors and VARs deliver more value to their customers.
