Citynet to Reach 17 New Markets in 2007

Citynet Wholesale, a facilities-based broadband service provider for underserved Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, announced plans to make significant capital investments to expand its network in 2007. The planned network expansion will allow Citynet to provide service to 17 new markets across six additional LATAs by years end.

Citynet will focus its expansion efforts in Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia, to total three new sites. Additional new markets will be added in Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

We have built our network in direct response to our customers needs, said Tom Payne, vice president of sales and marketing at Citynet. This success-based approach allowed us amazing growth in 06. That same approach in 07 will allow us unprecedented expansion for a company our size.

Citynet added service to 10 new PoPs in three states over three LATAs in 2006.

Citynet Wholesale offers private lines (DS3 to OCN), optical waves (2.5gbps and 10gbps), Ethernet, colocation and local access to underserved markets across the Midwestern and Mid-Atlantic states, including Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

[Customer] response to our Tier 2 and Tier 3 market strategy has been very positive, said Mike Friloux, Citynets COO. We really bridge the gap for these markets by delivering true carrier-grade capacity and network reliability. We are looking to do more of the same next year.
