ViewSonic has kicked off an authorized partner program that the vendor says will even the competitive playing field for its channel partners competing against online stores by granting qualified resellers access to its digital signage products, large format displays, ePosters and ProSeries projectors, and backing the initiative with special pricing, promotions and support.

The ProSeries Authorized Reseller Program is aimed at boosting sales and profits for ViewSonic channel partners that operate a physical storefront yet tussle head-to-head with price-aggressive etailers, said Marty Lash, ViewSonic national channel marketing senior manager. For example, members will be offered exclusive sales rights to ViewSonic’s latest technology, such as its Pro9000 LED Laser Hybrid projector.

“Our ProSeries Authorized Reseller Program is designed for resellers with a physical store front to increase sales and profitability by providing you with access to ViewSonic’s newest and most innovative product solutions,” Lash wrote in a blog post at the vendor’s website.

Channel partners authorized to participate in the program, in addition to gaining access to products the vendor won’t sell through other channels, are offered deeper discounts on large projects, promotions tailored specifically for their benefit, qualified sales leads and the right to consult with ViewSonic’s advanced engineering and technical support teams. ViewSonic is not charging for entry in the program, officials said.

Channel partners can apply online at ViewSonic’s web site to join the program. According to the vendor, to qualify for the program, resellers must be a new or existing member of ViewSonic’s Finch Club partner program, and meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain a field sales team to sell the ViewSonic ProSeries

  • Service and support personnel

  • Operate an established inbound/outbound call center sales team to support lead generation and proactive selling

  • Must adhere to ViewSonic’s Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy in the United States

  • Sell ProSeries products primarily to commercial accounts

Channel partners also may apply to the program through their distributors. Eligible products include ProSeries projectors, large-format displays, commercial TVs, large-format touch and specialty displays, large-format ePosters and digital signage software and media players.
