Former Level 3 President Named Integra Telecom Boss

Integra Telecom didnt have to look far to find a new executive chairman. Kevin OHara replaces CEO Tom Casey, who has resigned to take the reins at Tronox Inc. a producer and marketer of titanium dioxide pigment where he was previously the chairman of the board.

OHara has prior experience as president and chief operating officer of Level 3 Communications. He has been a board member at Integra since 2009 and has served as chairman since March 2011. He also serves on the boards of Elemental Technologies and RigNet.

Jim Huesgen, who has served as Integra president since 2002, will remain in that role and report directly to OHara.

Portland, Ore.-based Integra Telecom is a fiber-based telecommunications company serving both carrier and business customers. The company has been active this year, naming a new channel chief Ken Worcester in August, and announcing a number of new products and partnerships.

Integras channel program was named one of Channel Partners Top 50 Channel Programs of 2011.
