Cisco’s Andrew Sage

As vice president of global distribution, Sage is responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, strategy, operations and logistics for Cisco’s worldwide distribution channel. This includes nurturing and growing Cisco’s two-tier channel partners, and establishing transformational strategies for distribution partners to capture new market transitions in the areas of cloud, software, IoT and the SMB/commercial markets.

Sage replaces Julie Hens, who was vice president for Cisco’s global distribution business for the last five years. Hens’ new job at Cisco is leader of the global virtual sales and engineering organization, which is part of Cisco’s global sales segments and industries team. Prior to heading the global distribution business, Hens also served as vice president, Americas distribution.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in September.

Under Sage’s leadership for Americas distribution, Cisco’s two-tier business in the Americas grew year-over-year for the past three fiscal years, according to the vendor. Cisco is searching for a replacement for the Americas distribution position.

Sage has been with Cisco since 1999 when he held the title of vice president, worldwide, small business sales.
