A new study says BYOD policies are driving the adoption of EMM.

A new study points to bring your own device (BYOD) policies as the main driver behind the adoption of enterprise management mobility (EMM) solutions.

The report released by IT research firm TechNavio recognizes the “widespread adoption of BYOD policies as a major market growth driver, as BYOD allows employees to access organizational data and resources without being tied to a single location, thereby greatly increasing enterprise mobility.”

“Enterprise mobility helps organizations exchange data and information without time and location constraints,” TechNavio Vice President Faisal Ghaus said in a statement. “Because of the greater mobility these schemes provide, organizations have been increasingly adopting BYOD policies, and related mobile device management solutions.”

The study also attributes growth in the EMM market to mergers and acquistions in recent years. Additionally noting that the “market is characterized by large vendors acquiring smaller vendors to expand their functional capabilities.

TechNavio analyts project a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23.95 percent in the market from 2013-2018.
