AirWatch CEO John Marshall announced AirWatch Marketplace at AirWatch Connect 2013.

AirWatch CEO John Marshall recently unveiled the company’s new partner portal, AirWatch Marketplace, at AirWatch Connect 2013 to provide partners with a one-stop place for information, but how well is the company’s marketplace doing a month later?

AirWatch Business Development Team Andrew Berenato spoke exclusively with MSPmentor on the status of AirWatch Marketplace. According to him, the company’s new partner portal is expanding.

“AirWatch Marketplace has been a great success since launching in August,” he said. “We already have more than 55 different solutions, products and applications featured on AirWatch Marketplace and we expect Marketplace to continue growing rapidly.”

Berenato, however, did not reveal the number of participating channel partners.

AirWatch is “constantly updating AirWatch Marketplace as our partners release software updates, create new materials — like whitepapers and integration information — or change their contact information,” he said.

Berenato also said that AirWatch gained a number of new partners to the portal, adding that AirWatch will be pushing out a “Coming Soon” category based on partner interest in AirWatch Marketplace.

With regards to managed services providers (MSPs),  Berenato said AirWatch Marketplace assists MSPs with identifying “technologies that complement their customer’s investment in enterprise mobility and to discover new technologies they can provide to customers.”

“Partners leverage Marketplace to offer greater value to their customers with these additional services,” he added.

Berenato concluded by pointing out that AirWatch will “continue to grow the quantity and quality of partner portfolio worldwide.”
