IT services provider Paranet has partnered with bring-your-own-device (BYOD) security scanning solutions provider iScan Online to offer customers on-demand IT security scanning service from the cloud to any device. Which scanning options are now available to Paranet customers? We'll provide the terms of the deal.

According to Paranet, the partership will help enhance the company's focus on BYOD, assisting customers with the change in IT environments from data center to desktop and BYOD. To accomplish this, Paranet will leverage iScan Online's Cloud Console to manage and monitor clients' devices for vulnerabilities, compliance issue and data discovery.

"Security and compliance is such a critical component of IT today," Paranet CEO David Boone in his prepared remarks. "Our customers require a solution that is easy enough to use and addresses not only traditional security scanning needs, but also BYOD and mobility issues."

Paranet customers can now leverage the following iScan Online scanning options:

  • PCI Compliance Scan (Internal) — Vulnerability and patch scan for PCI requirement 11.2.1, plus 35 other PCI requirements that can be audited with a scan;

  • Data Discovery Scan — Searches for noncompliant credit card holder data across all your Windows, Mac OS X and Mobile Devices. Reports provide the location path of the credit card data along with the card brand type and number of instances; and

  • Vulnerability Scan (Internal) —  Identifies known operating system and application vulnerabilities, missing patches, misconfigurations, open ports and more.

iScan Online President Billy Austin said in a prepared statement that the two companies will work to solve these security and compliance issues.

"This partnership will show how our security scanning solution, cloud-based management and RMM integration empowers a managed IT services provider like Paranet," he said.

iScan Online supports Microsoft (MSFT) Windows, Mac OS X, Google (GOOG) Android, and Apple (AAPL) iOS mobile devices.
