Barracuda Networks this week announced it has expanded into the United Kingdom partner channel with the launch of its Intronis MSP Solutions in that country.

The launch builds on the success of the Intronis ECHOplatform in North America, where more than 2,000 MSP partners use the platform to service thousands of SMBs. The platform is operational from a U.K. data center.

Barracuda's Jason HowellsJason Howells, EMEA sales director for Intronis MSP Solutions at Barracuda, tells Channel Partners there is a “vibrant and dynamic MSP community in the United Kingdom and EMEA.”

“With our … ECHOplatform now available in the Barracuda U.K. data center, [we] will now be able to help offer our MSP and IT solution providers in the United Kingdom more recurring revenue opportunities,” he said. “Barracuda has already built up a very strong partner community in EMEA, so there is a great opportunity for those existing partners to work with Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda, and leverage our simple and secure data protection solutions.”

This marks the first launch outside of North America since Barracuda acquired Intronis last fall.

“Today, data protection and security is a top concern for businesses, and not just those in the enterprise sector, but SMBs as well,” Howells said. “It seems like every day, some kind of security or data breach is reported. As such, it’s crucial that MSPs and IT solution providers offer their customers solutions that can be purchased and deployed in whatever way that best suits their needs, while allowing them to focus on their core business. The launch … in the United Kingdom provides that ability, and also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the channel.”{ad}

The ECHOplatform is provided at a fixed monthly fee for the entire product suite, without limiting MSPs’ customers’ local storage or number of devices protected, according to Barracuda.

“SMBs are often challenged by budget constraints and a lack of IT resources, so the ability to offer a fully managed solution that can be white-labeled with little or no upfront investment is very attractive to channel partners in the United Kingdom,” Howells said. “Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda can help simplify service delivery with easy to manage, secure data protection solutions for all channel partners.”

“… What we really like about the Intronis ECHOplatform is that we can manage multiple solutions through a single portal and dashboard,” said Andy Cocking, director at Computeam, a service provider for the education sector. “This has really helped us streamline management and provide customized service bundles to our clients.”
