CipherCloud Develops Cloud Encryption Partner Program

CipherCloud is keeping busy these days with updates to its cloud-based encryption services, and now the company has launched a new partner program.

Through the program, the company is tying together other cloud technology providers, including AppExtremes, DBSync, ClaimVantage and Ping Identity, with the purpose of eliminating data privacy, residency, security and compliance barriers to cloud adoption. This follows closely on the heels of the launch of CipherCloud Connect AnyApp for encryption of private and public clouds, as well as the addition of content-aware encryption to CipherCloud Gateway 3.5.

“The CipherCloud Technology Partner Program brings together the most trusted cloud solution providers to make adopting and maintaining the cloud a success for our joint customers,” said Dev Ghoshal, senior vice president of Field Operations, in a prepared statement.

The program is intended to help partners in a variety of ways — increasing sales through the removal of cloud adoption barriers, access to major cloud adopters in various verticals, joint marketing campaigns for promotion of new business offerings, and the development and deployment of joint solutions.

In the end, CipherCloud expects the new program to affect customers through the increase of cloud applications secured by its encryption technologies, certification of interoperability between CipherCloud and partner solutions, and support from both the company and its customers.

The company is demonstrating its new and updated technologies this week at Dreamforce 2012. CipherCloud works with a variety of cloud services providers and partners, and using its encryption technologies, the channel can ensure additional security for customers’ applications and data.

Although security may not be as hot a topic in the cloud as it was even a year ago, potential security problems are still top of mind with executives and IT administrators. Managing identity is critical to keeping cloud-based applications and data safe, and CipherCloud is aiming to make it easier to access encryption technologies.
