Hybrid hosting and data center solutions provider CentriLogic recently announced its all-cash acquisition of the Canadian managed hosting and IT services provider The Capris Group, a deal worth $9 million.
CentriLogic will combine The Capris Group's business with existing data center solutions to create a new business unit, focusing on delivering application and platform management services to new and current customers. According to CentriLogic, the acquisition will assist with providing solutions to local and international organizations with enterprise-class workloads. The company will add a data center and disaster recovery space to its existing infrastructure footprint in the Greater Toronto Area.
"We will leverage The Capris Group's existing expertise to better fulfill our customer's complex hosting and application management requirements, ultimately creating synergies throughout our core service offerings to facilitate the growth of our business locally and internationally," said CentriLogic President and CEO Robert Offley.
The Capris Group's entire portfolio of services, including application and platform management, managed hosting, development and co-location, will be integrated into CentriLogic's offerings. CentriLogic also acquired The Capris Group's staff, its existing office and data center facilities and all current customer contracts.
The Capris Group's 15,000-square-foot data center and disaster recovery area in Mississauga, Ontario, will be maintained. The facility will be used to service The Capris Group's existing customer base, while also accommodating new and existing CentriLogic customers.
