Celebrating 20 years, Ingram Micro‘s Trust X Alliance Wednesday unveiled a number of key milestones and exclusive offerings, as well as new leadership and a game plan for elevating its brand awareness and expanding its reach regionally and globally.

The announcements were made at this week’s Trust X Alliance Invitational in Colorado Springs. Trust X is a North American organization of independent professional IT firms that focus on SMBs. It consists of more than 350 partners and trusted advisers.

Trust X announced several new offerings, including:

  • Extended financial terms, dedicated financial consultants and more creative financing options designed to help members capitalize on and better manage cash flow, gain competitive advantage and pursue new business opportunities.

  • A new SaaS-based partner-enablement program designed to help members generate demand via custom and curated content delivery services.

  • A growth plan for expanding the community to include born-in-the-cloud providers, developers, ISVs and operational technologists, and elevating the Trust X brand beyond the IT channel to SMBs, midmarket organizations and enterprises.

Jennifer Anaya, Ingram Micro’s vice president of marketing and Trust X’s new global executive lead, tells Channel Partners her company is always looking for “new and differentiated ways to help our channel partners grow their businesses.”

“Financing is a competitive differentiator and advantage for Ingram Micro and our channel partners,” she said. “Partner Connect (the SaaS-based partner enablement program) was based on feedback from our channel partners and their need for effective, affordable and easy to manage custom digital marketing. As you may have heard at Cloud Summit, building out the partner ecosystem is a top priority and a core business value Ingram Micro brings to the table for our channel partners and will specifically be focusing on for Trust X Alliance. We want to ensure our channel partners have the resources and relationships to meet and predict the IT business needs of their customers, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.”

Three partners piloted the program during a two-week period and the results were more than 1,000 individual page views, outperforming their corporate sites, and five-plus minutes spent viewing content and seven leads.

“I can’t believe how quickly I had a lead,” said Kelly Jones, NetGain Information Systems’ president and COO, and Trust X’s new U.S. president. “First one within 48 hours.”

Trust X’s 2018-19 council presidents also include: Ben Gower of Perspicuity as U.K. regional president, and Cathy Vankesteren of End to End Networks as Canadian regional president. Holly Hartman-Niedzielski, Ingram Micro’s director of events and partner communities, has been named Trust X’s executive champion, responsible for the day-to-day oversight and sales engagement around the community.

Trust X’s footprint has grown across four continents, with plans to expand its reach and increase its nearly $2 billion in global buying power across hardware, software and services by double-digit percentages within each region.

“Our main goal is to grow together,” Anaya said. “We’re tracking to increase our buying power, build on our specializations, raise our voice within and around the industry, as well as elevate the brand of Trust X with businesses worldwide.”
