Champion Solutions Group Named VMware Partner of the Year

Boca Raton, Fla.-based Champion Solutions Group, a 32-year-old VAR, has made a big name for itself in the cloud — its Champion Cloud Services arm placed 33rd on the inaugural Talkin’ Cloud 50 list of top cloud service providers. And now, Champion can add VMware Infrastructure Virtualization Partner of the Year for the Americas to its list of accolades.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by VMware for this distinguished award. VMware has been a key partner to Champion for nearly 10 years and continues to be a strategic partner as we grow our virtualization business. We are committed to improving our customers’ lives through world-class service and innovative solutions,” said President and CEO of Champion Solutions Group Chris Pyle in a prepared statement.

In the press release, Champion boasts that it has more than 600 customers, with infrastructure virtualization one of its leading services among them, “whether a company is in the early stages of developing a virtualization roadmap or already down the virtualization path
.”

This isn’t the first time Champion Solutions Group has been recognized for its progress in the cloud/virtualization space: it was also Microsoft’s 2011 Cloud Partner of the Year for its efforts reselling Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM SaaS solutions (And Microsoft BPOS before that). And outside of its VMware and Microsoft cloud businesses, Champion also offers cloud storage, virtual desktops and more.

We’ll be keeping an eye on Champion Solutions Group going forward, so keep an eye on TalkinCloud.
