CollabNet has appointed Flint Brenton to replace Bill Portelli as president and CEO of the open application lifecycle management provider.

CollabNet has appointed Flint Brenton to replace Bill Portelli as president and CEO of the open application lifecycle management provider.
Brenton has more than 25 years of experience in IT executive leadership, most recently serving as president and CEO of cloud analytics platform and virtual infrastructure vendor Accelops. He also served as president and CEO of Tidal Software, which was acquired by Cisco Systems (CSCO) in 2009. After the acquisition, Brenton held several executive-level positions within the company, including vice president of Advanced Services, according to the announcement.
“I am excited to join CollabNet and humbled to be part of a legacy that has transformed the software development tools industry,” said Flint, in a statement. “CollabNet is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the significant changes in the rapidly growing software development and DevOps markets, and I look forward to working with this talented team to continue to build upon CollabNet’s momentum of innovation and leadership.”
Portelli, who co-founded CollabNet and has served as CEO since 1999, will continue working with the company as a director of CollabNet’s board, where he will assist with matters concerning the company’s strategy and growth. Brenton will also hold a seat on the company’s board of directors.
