Rob Leon, formerly VP of Spam Soap and a well-known executive in the managed services market, is planning his next career move. Leon confirmed that he’s left Spam Soap (SaaS email security) and its sister company, Inhouse IT (an MSP). Here’s the update, plus perspectives on how Spam Soap itself is evolving.

In recent years, Leon helped to build Spam Soap into one of the best-known providers of anti-spam within the managed services market. Plus, Spam Soap was widely known as one of McAfee‘s closest SaaS channel partners. Leon talked a bit about the strategy back in 2009 for an MSPmentor FastChat Video:

My best guess: Leon is mulling some new challenges within the managed services and cloud markets.

Meanwhile, Spam Soap itself continues to evolve. Pushing beyond traditional anti-spam, Spam Soap recently announced an encryption offering for MSPs. And I suspect Spam Soap is exploring additional SaaS security options for the IT channel. Leonard DiMiceli, director of channel sales at Spam Soap, also continues to work closely with MSPs.
