EarthLink (ELNK) this week unveiled a new myLink customer portal and a PCI Compliance Solutions suite at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando, Florida.

Atlanta-based IT services, network and communications provider EarthLink (ELNK) this week introduced a new version of its myLink customer portal at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando, Florida.

The new myLink customer portal is designed to provide a centralized, integrated gateway into each user’s EarthLink account and infrastructure.

“myLink offers our clients the ability to customize their interaction with us to manage their business services in a manner that makes sense to them,” Mike Fuqua, EarthLink’s vice president of managed service provider (MSP) product management, told Talkin’ Cloud.

EarthLink said myLink’s personalized interface allows customers to tailor their dashboard views and leverage real-time widgets to organize the right view for themselves or others based on job function or security clearance.

myLink also enables customers to:

  • Access visual maps to learn about the overall health and performance of their network

  • Drag and drop widgets

  • Set preferred alerts and notifications

  • Use location-based views to automatically deliver site-specific information

  • Utilize an order status tracker to monitor order progress

“myLink is not just a tool we hand to customers, but one they will actively customize to create just the right view for their organization,” Brian P. Fink, EarthLink’s chief information officer, said in a prepared statement. “As we migrate customers to the new portal, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, and our team is committed to continually improving and growing the environment.”

EarthLink announces PCI Compliance Solutions suite

In addition to its new myLink customer portal, EarthLink also unveiled a PCI Compliance Solutions suite at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo.

EarthLink developed the PCI Compliance Solutions suite with ANXebusiness (ANX), a Southfield, Michigan-based managed security services provider (MSSP), and the suite includes:

  • PCI Protect — offers financial data breach protection and a self-service PCI portal

  • PCI Assist — helps customers better manage and understand portal usage and vulnerability remediation assistance

  • PCI Certify — provides professional services to validate a self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ) or deliver a full-service PCI audit

The PCI Compliance Solutions suite’s offerings are designed to protect customer data and brand reputation and enhance network security, according to EarthLink.

“When we speak with retail CIOs, the increasing risk of data breaches and cost-effective PCI compliance remain top of mind, but many do not know where to start or lack the in-house expertise to tackle the issue,” Rick Froehlich, EarthLink’s executive vice president of products and consumer, said in a prepared statement. “The consequences of a data breach are severe, and that’s why EarthLink … developed this comprehensive suite with financial breach protection and compliance support in partnership with ANX.”
