Westcon Group Inc. recently announced management additions to its Voda One division, based in Omaha, Neb. Steve Bernard will assume the role of vice president and general manager, while Tim Kubiak and Chandler Legaretta have been appointed director of strategic development for eastern United States and director of strategic development for western United States, respectively.

In his role as vice president and general manager, Bernard will be responsible for Voda Ones business activities, including sales, operations, marketing, financial services and customer service. He will report to Anthony Daley, executive vice president of the Americas, and work closely with Rob Linder, vice president of sales, in developing, implementing and executing new growth strategies for Voda One BusinessPartners. Previously, Bernard was Voda One’s national account manager for Avaya, where he played a major role in building the division’s channel presence as a predominant distributor of Avaya convergence products and services.

Another key addition to the Voda One team is Kubiak. He previously served as affinity convergence sales manager at Westcon Group and now is director of strategic development for eastern United States. He has more than a decade of telecommunications and convergence experience, from both the reseller and distribution arenas. Kubiak, who served as a member of the business integration leadership team when Voda One was formed in 2000, was a director of sales at Voda One from 2000 to 2002 and worked as an Avaya BusinessPartner for several years before returning to Westcon Group.

Legarreta, who joined Voda One in April of this year as its director of strategic development for western United States, previously held senior executive positions including executive vice president at Source One Inc. where he worked for eight years. Legarreta has expertise in enterprise voice and data, including convergence strategies, call center applications, and multiservice networks. In addition, he holds many Avaya technical and product certifications.
