MPEG-4/h.264 is an advanced video coding scheme seen as a key enabler to drive large scale deployments of video services, such as, multichannel broadcasts, VoD and HD programming.

WEGENERs streaming media decoder, SMD-515, supports MPEG-4/h.264, MPEG-2 and VC-1 decoding. The IP set top fully supports both SD and HD video, optional PVR and rapid integration of third-party applications.
