Vibrant Solutions launched ViewLogic7 at Billing and OSS World 2004, a new version of its cost-management software for carrier-to-carrier interconnection and access issues, and revenue assurance, designed to reduce operational expenditures through accelerated invoice processing, faster dispute handling and better user productivity.

ViewLogic7 provides end-to-end automation for invoice processing, including a centralized management system for carrier-to-carrier data and tools that can be used for vendor management, workforce management and management reporting. It also adds automated dispute initiation and management and new credit allocation tools that allow users to handle credits and debits in bulk without reprocessing the invoices, according to user-defined business rules.

Other additions include the integration of the Business Objects intelligence engine for analytical reporting, online help and automatic application of general ledger codes to all charges on the invoice. A new Web-based user interface rounds out the enhancements.

Weve never not saved a customer money, says Charlie Aldis, vice president of managed services. Interconnection and access costs can mean that 50 percent or more of a carriers revenue goes to other carriers — its the largest liability on the balance sheet. It pays to handle it well.
