Telephone Number Administrator Changes Name to
NeuStar

The administrator of the North American Numbering Plan (NANPA) and Local Number
Portability (LNPA) for the telecommunications industry now is known as New Star Inc. This
follows the FCC’s (www.fcc.gov) approved transfer of
Lockheed Martin Co.’s (www.lmco.com) Communication
Industry Services (CIS) division to NeuStar Inc.

As the NANPA, NeuStar is the sole administrator of all area codes and CO codes (or
exchanges) in North America. NeuStar also administers area-code relieve activities, number
pooling and other actions to issue new numbers when available telephone numbers are
exhausted.
