Master agent MicroCorp has hired Phil Keenan as its new executive vice president of sales and marketing. Keenan comes to MicroCorp after two years at Mitel as EVP for North America.

“We are excited to have Phil lead MicroCorp’s sales and marketing efforts,” said Brad Miehl, president and CEO of MicroCorp. “His many years of executive sales leadership and general business acumen fits perfectly with MicroCorp’s strategic growth plan in helping telecom agents and IT VARs eliminate barriers, add value and grow their businesses.”

Keenan has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and management in the technology industry. Prior to Mitel, he was vice president of multimedia and telepresence solutions at Nortel and SVP of worldwide sales at Polycom.

“I am excited to be joining the Microcorp executive team,” said Keenan. “MicroCorp is expanding rapidly due to its wealth of industry experience, which has led to a reputation for providing an unsurpassed agent support experience in the master telecom agent community. I am looking forward to leveraging these core strengths as the industry and MicroCorp continue to expand and evolve with new solutions.”

In his new role, Keenan will be chiefly responsible for overseeing MicroCorp’s sales and marketing strategy. He will also be responsible for growing MicroCorp’s expanding VAR division.
