Jasomi Networks Inc. says it will collaborate with Vialta Inc. to solve the far-end NAT and firewall traversal problems for ISPs deploying Vialtas broadband video phone to customers.

Vialta, based in Freemont, Calif., will introduce the Broadband Beamer videophone to the Asian ISP market in early 2005 and plans to expand to other regions, according to a joint press release from Jasomi Networks and Vialta.

The Jasomi solution will function as the key component to solving far-end NAT traversal problems that have hampered voice and video over IP at homes and businesses where networks are behind firewalls, the companies say.
