Copper Conferencing, a provider of audio conferencing, Web conferencing and videoconferencing services offered primarily through professional independent partners, said Tuesday it has acquired The Conference Depot Inc.

Cooper Conferencing purchased the Carlsbad, Calif., firm for $11 million, capitalized in part through an equity investment by NewWest Capital Partners of Denver, and debt financing through Bush ODonnell Capital Partners LLC of St. Louis. Other deal terms were not disclosed.

The company said the acquisition enhances its conferencing services for SMBs. The acquisition will give customers for both companies access to a greater menu of audio, Web and videoconferencing services used for remote group communications.
