BullsEye’s Vilas Uchil

The Michigan-based CLEC tapped Vilas Uchil, formerly its vice president of technology and engineering, as chief technology officer. Uchil has worked with the company since 2014. He’ll oversee BullsEye’s technology and operations teams and ensure “alignment within the organization to deliver the best experiences for clients and partners.”

The company also announced that it hired Tamie Whitefoot as its new vice president of operations. She is tasked with a range of oversight, including account management, provisioning, activation engineering, and customer and partner experience. Douglas Black held the vice president of operations position from 2015-2018. He now directs network operations and customer experience for TelNet Worldwide.

Whitefoot will report to Uchil.

“BullsEye is always working to provide the best possible experience available today for our clients by helping them implement new technologies that ultimately improve their business and bottom line,” BullsEye president and CEO Tom Tisko said. “Together, Vilas and Tamie have nearly 50 years of experience that will directly benefit our clients and our client-facing employees who interact with them daily. I look forward to working with them and seeing their ideas that will help the company continue to be a leader in the technology and communications space.”

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in February.

Whitefoot and Uchil both bring rich telecom experience to their new positions. Whitefoot has worked for Frontier Communications, XO Communications and MCI WorldCom. She helped launch three operational service delivery markets for XO and helped set up a national LMDS (Local Multipoint Distribution Service) wireless center. Uchil worked in emerging technologies at Sprint in the mid 2000s and was a senior VoIP and product development engineer for NovoLink Communications.

The company announced a new managed Wi-Fi partnership in January and partnered with multiple master agents last year.
