Global collaboration solutions provider Arkadin on Wednesday announced an agreement to purchase ConferencePlus Inc. a company that offers conferencing services.

Through the acquisition of ConferencePlus, Arkadin said it will become the third-largest independent collaboration service provider in North America and consolidate its position as the second-largest collaboration service provider in Asia and Europe. Also, Arkadin’s base of worldwide clients will grow to 26,000 with the addition of ConferencePlus, the company said.

Arkadin anticipates closing its acquisition of ConferencePlus  a Westell Technologies Inc. subsidiary on Dec. 31, 2011. Financial terms of the agreement were not revealed.
