Coretelligent Launches BDR Solution

MSPmentor 501 honoree Coretelligent is now offering a backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solution to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The Needham, Massachusetts-based managed service provider (MSP) this week unveiled CoreBDR, which is designed to prevent data loss. Coretelligent said CoreBDR leverages EMC Data Domain for backup data storage and Veeam Backup & Replication for backup and recovery processing.

“This isn’t a typical add-on BDR product, which may be added to a client environment without consideration for the integration points and impact of the environment. We chose best-of-breed, enterprise-class vendors to provide the framework for this offering, ensuring that customers are getting the best and most advanced products on the market,” Coretelligent CEO Kevin Routhier told MSPmentor.

CoreBDR integrates with and backs up virtual machines (VMs), application-specific data and flat files, according to Coretelligent. It also offers the restoration of VMs and data in a one-step process, Coretelligent said, along with agentless backup.

“It’s common to associate data loss with a natural disaster, however, the more likely threats are viruses or malware, hardware failure or even the accidental deletion of a file,” Routhier said in a prepared statement. “CoreBDR is a state-of-the-art data protection solution that quickly recovers data and restores server infrastructure integrity in minutes, instead of hours required by other solutions. In many cases, employees aren’t even aware that an outage occurred or that a failover took place.”
