Asigra this week updated its Hybrid Partner Training and Certification Program for managed service providers (MSPs), adding new resources to help service providers lower their operating costs and better support their customers.

The Toronto-based backup and recovery software provider said its new technical training enhancements are part of a certification program to teach service providers about its products.

Asigra’s training and certification program now features:

  • E-learning for Asigra partners

  • E-learning for customers

  • In-class instructor-led training

  • Pre-sales training

  • Virtual instructor-led training

MSPs also can access multiple certifications and levels, including:

  • Asigra Certified Associate (ACA)

  • Asigra Certified Engineer (ACE)

  • Asigra Certified Professional (ACP)

An Asigra spokesperson told MSPmentor that partners can access e-learning modules to teach their customers about Asigra Cloud Backup as well.

Asigra said its training and certification program benefits all technical and sales individuals because it gives them educational tools that they can use to “gain critical skills and techniques to optimize installations for consistently high-quality service delivery.”

The program also enables service providers to learn and deploy Asigra Cloud Backup best practices, according to Asigra.

Asigra’s backup and recovery software is currently used by hundreds of MSPs worldwide, and Asigra added that its training and certification program ensures service providers “are supported by a well-trained team that will assist in streamlining deployments for the partner organization’s customer base.”

The managed services market, meanwhile, could play an important role in Asigra’s growth.

Asigra Cloud Backup earlier this month became the first backup and recovery solution to support Docker containers, and Asigra CEO David Farajun pointed out that his company will continue to explore ways to offer greater flexibility to enterprises.

“Our support of Docker … signifies another technology innovation that enables Asigra partners to offer enterprises greater flexibility and cost efficiencies with cloud-based applications,” he said in a prepared statement.
