His appointment will be effective immediately. Here are the details.

Harms recently served as CFO of Socialware, a social business solutions provider. Before heading to Socialware, Harms was CFO of PSS Systems, which was acquired by IBM in 2011, of Transitive Corp., acquired by IBM in 2008, and of Counterpane, an information security services firm acquired by British Telecom in 2006. He also served as the director of finance and controller for several venture-funded technology companies. Harms also served in corporate and divisional financial positions at HP. Harms earned his CPA while at Ernst & Young in San Francisco. He received an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a B.S. from UC Berkeley.

ForeScout CEO Gord Boyce said in a statement that Criss will be bringing extensive financial and industry knowledge to the team. He expects Criss’ experience to complement the company’s long-tern financial goals.

“The momentum and growth that ForeScout has experienced over the last few years is astounding,” Harms said in a prepared statement. “IT organizations must offer greater means of access to be competitive, and ForeScout is in an ideal position to help enterprises address data leakage and compliance risks while enabling enterprise mobility. I look forward to contributing to ForeScout’s success.”

ForeScout Technologies Inc recently announced an integration of Citrix (NASDAQ:CTXS) XenMobile MDM and ForeScout CounterACT, a network access control (NAC) solution, to provide unified control across mobile devices, users, applications, data, and network attributes.
