Hello there, and welcome back to Distribution Watch. This week we've got the hottest and biggest news from our friends over at D&H Distributing, Jenne, Inc. and Avnet (AVT), so let's dive right in.

D&H: D&H announced it is increasing its lineup of small form-factor PCs from partners including ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Intel and Lenovo, among others.

The company said it will market the PCs toward SMB customers who need high performance solutions with a small footprint, according to the announcement.

“Small-form factor computers have a great deal to offer a small business, or any industry requiring an easily re-configured environment, yet where users are still looking to leverage full-power, permanent desktops in their workplaces,” said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of Sales at D&H Distributing, in a statement. “These units offer the best of both worlds, with rapid processing and a low-profile, space-saving design, often with a lesser footprint than even a tablet device. It affords the user a certain amount of portability similar to a mobile device. For the cost, and combined with other savings in space and energy, SFF models present a tremendous value.”

Jenne: Jenne Inc. has appointed William Brennan vice president of Security Solutions, responsible for growing the distributor’s security segment. He is the first person to be appointed to the position.

Brennan joined Jenne from Panasonic, where he served as vice president of Channel Sales for resellers. He began his career with Panasonic in 1989 and has since worked with the company in a variety of roles and adjacent functions over the past 27 years, according to the announcement.

“I am very pleased and excited to join Jenne. Due to dramatic changes within the distribution landscape and the continuing convergence of technology, Jenne is an ideal distribution partner for security resellers, integrators and manufacturers,” said Brennan.

Avnet: Avnet has risen to number 430 on the 2015 Fortune Global 500 after the company reported $27.5 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2014.

Avnet was previous ranked as number 474 on the 2014 Fortune Global 500, and is the only Phoenix-based company to make the list, according to the announcement. It also placed as number 108 on Fortune’s list of the 500 largest U.S. companies.

“Avnet’s rise on the Fortune Global 500 directly reflects the dedication of our employees in accelerating the success of our customers around the world,” said Rick Hamada, CEO of Avnet. “This recognition also underscores Avnet’s powerful combination of local market knowledge and global scale, which allows us to serve customers efficiently wherever they do business today while also helping them capitalize on opportunities for future growth.”

That's all for now, but we'll be back next week with a whole host of brand-spanking new updates for your reading pleasure. Until then, keep on distributing.
