Capillary Adds $14M in Series B Funds, Announces Agilysys Partnership

Capillary Technologies has raised $14 million in a Series B funding round. The company previously received $17 million in Series A funds in 2012.

Indian IT company Capillary Technologies has secured $14 million in a Series B funding round led by Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) and Sequoia Capital. The new investment raises Capillary’s total financing to $31 million since 2012.

Capillary said it will use the funds to enhance its cloud-based integrated marketing platform and expand its partner network.

Hospitality solutions provider Agilysys also announced a new partnership with Capillary.

Anant Choubey, Capillary’s vice president of the APAC region, said the partnership will allow his company to develop hospitality solutions for businesses of all sizes.

Retailers use Capillary’s marketing platform to access and manage customer data, according to the company.

Capillary CEO Aneesh Reddy said the Series B funding round shows investors are confident in his company’s marketing platform.

“Continued funding by both Sequoia and NVP is a vote of confidence in our vision and continued traction in the marketplace,” he said in a prepared statement. “By harnessing the power of Capillary’s Intelligent Customer Engagement Suite, retailer marketers are forming successful and personalized relationships with their customers based on insights from our customer analytics platform across multiple channels.”

Capillary currently has offices in eight countries and plans to expand globally as well.

“We [have] demonstrated to retailers and consumers’ brands how big data analytics can glean game-changing insights that help them form meaningful relationships with their most valuable asset -– their customer,” Reddy wrote in a blog post. “The [Series B] funding will help us enhance our cloud-based integrated marketing platform and grow its partnership ecosystem.”
