Pulseway is closing out the year with the launch of a new cloud backup product as part of its existing RMM solution. The product is built directly into both the web-based platform and mobile application, allowing users to back up their files, regardless of their location.

Dubbed Pulseway Cloud Backup, the solution delivers an intuitive interface built to follow a coherent structure that is synced with the rest of the platform, allowing users to check backup statuses, calculate backup health score, schedule  jobs, and recover data for physical and virtual servers, workstations and documents.

Most importantly, the new feature helps organizations ensure that their data is always protected.

“In today’s world, technicians and IT administrators need to be agile while managing their client’s IT infrastructures without losing time switching from one dashboard to another,” said Marius Mihalec, founder and CEO of Pulseway. “We solved this problem by introducing cloud backup that is built directly into the Pulseway RMM platform, this one unified dashboard that gives technicians and IT system administrators full control of their entire IT infrastructure, from patching systems and keeping endpoints protected to now being able to back up servers and workstations and recover files on demand. Pulseway users won’t require any additional training or extensive onboarding because of the [user interface] being built to resemble the rest of the platform.”

Mihalec says the best part is that the cloud backup solution has been built into the Pulseway mobile app. This means that technicians can perform backup jobs and recover files on the go, regardless of their location, which will reduce downtime for users and businesses should files need to be recovered urgently, ultimately delivering a better service to their customers.

“As we’ve seen in 2019, managed service providers have become a big target for cyberattacks,” says Mihalec. “That’s why Pulseway has been one of the first RMM providers to enforce [two-factor authentication] for all its users as a necessary precaution due to the high rates of cybersecurity attacks. Puseway has been built from the ground up as a completely secure IT management software and the new cloud backup is part of this secure infrastructure. Since all Pulseway clients are obliged to the use of 2FA, the user will be required to authenticate using one of the multifactor authentication options offered by Pulsewway every time a backup or recovery job needs to be performed from Pulseway Cloud Backup.”

Pulseway Cloud Backup gives technicians the ability to track the health score of the backup assets, all from one mobile app, and it can prevent potential data loss and potential downtime. Even on the mobile app level, 2FA will require strict device authorization when accessing Pulseway Cloud Backup, which serves as an extra security step for all MSP businesses, protecting their data and backup assets.
