LabTech Software has incorporated agent, monitoring, remote control, scalability and security updates into its remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform.

The Tampa, Florida-based RMM platform provider last week unveiled LabTech 10.5, which is designed to enable LabTech Software’s managed service provider (MSP) partners “to offer faster and more comprehensive remote support, even if the end users do not have a LabTech agent installed.”

“LabTech Software remains dedicated to delivering innovative and useful enhancements that help our partners stay one step ahead of emerging IT demands,” LabTech Software CEO Matt Nachtrab said in a prepared statement. “Our latest release enables partners to gain even greater efficiencies in remote support and monitoring, so they can support their clients better and faster than ever before.”

In addition, LabTech Software said its new release features:

  • Remote control updates; the Web Control Center now uses integrated ScreenConnect Remote Access for all users and allows for Remote Support integration — a separately licensed product.

  • LabTech Ignite management packs that provide enhanced monitoring flexibility and volume control.

  • Agent enhancements that now support localized remote monitors.

  • Scalability enhancements that now support split-server configuration for separate database servers.

  • Security enhancements, including a new User Class Manager for more granular control of LabTech users.

LabTech Software boasts 5,000 unique partners worldwide and continues to explore ways to bolster its platform as well.

For example, LabTech Software in October began offering the Symantec Endpoint Protection security solution to its MSP partners, along with IBM MobileFirst Protect (formerly MaaS360) for enterprise mobility management (EMM) and Veeam Endpoint Backup for LabTech for backup and disaster recovery (BDR).
