BCN’s Phil Haage

BCN just hired a sales director to support its master-agent portfolio.

Phil Haage joined the partner sales director team at the company, which provides multiproduct aggregation for multilocation customers.

“We are incredibly excited that Phil has joined the BCN team,” said Michael Ginsburg, BCN’s vice president of sales. “His market insight and experience in building strong relationships fits perfectly with BCN’s focus on delivering the best possible experience for our partners and customers. We look forward to the value he will most certainly add to BCN and to our partner community.”

BCN Telecom’s Michael Ginsburg

Haage, based in Chicago, will report to Ginsburg. BCN is based in New Jersey.

Haage most recently served as managed client partner for Verizon Business Markets, a business unit that focused on schools, local businesses and state and local governments. He worked at XO Communications from 2004 to 2017, working in both direct and indirect sales. Verizon bought XO in 2017. Haage worked at Allegiance Telecom (which XO later bought) from 1999-2004 as director of sales engineering.

He’ll assist BCN’s master-agent channel, which has grown in the last year. BCN announced a partnership with master agent WTG in March 2018. The company went on to partner with Avant in August. BCN hired Ryan Kelly as partner development earlier this year, citing his strong relationships with Intelisys, Telarus, TBI and other masters.

BCN has also been teaming up with new vendors in 2019. The company announced partnerships with Telus, MasterStream ERP and Wave Business. More than 75 wholesale network providers reside in the BCN portfolio.

“The aggregation of broadband services continues to be an important driver in BCN’s ability to help our sales partners solve the needs of multilocation customers,” Ginsburg said in February, in conjunction with the Wave partnership.

Keith Mullins, another former Verizon Business Markets employee, joined BCN late in 2017 as an agent sales director.
