RapidScale has hired Kim Cummings, formerly with Frontier Communications, as partner experience manager for the Pacific Northwest.

Cummings’ responsibilities involve developing new partnerships, managing and leading existing partners, and “building a winning partner experience approach in the Pacific Northwest,” the company said. She previously was Frontier’s manager of national alternate channels for the West, and had channel management roles at Windstream, AccessLine Communications and Integra Telecom.

In June, TPx announced it had hired Cummings as its channel manager for the Northwest Region — but that was short-lived.

She has 17 years of telecom sales experience and “proven skills in bringing value to both partners and customers through providing solution design, product options, information and more,” RapidScale said.

“What attracted me to the RapidScale partner experience manager position was the opportunity to participate in the true ‘cloud compute’ discussions and initiatives that customers and partners are solving for in today’s unique technology environment,” Cummings said. “RapidScale has the best in-class product portfolio and a true commitment to serving the customer. It’s great to be a part of a company that has a proven track record of deploying and managing technology solutions in the ‘as a service’ space.”

“We’re building a world-class, channel-focused sales organization, and adding top talent is paramount to our success,” said Bob Buchanan, RapidScale’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Kim’s experience and proven track record align perfectly with this strategy and I’m beyond excited to announce her addition to the RapidScale team.”

Earlier this summer, RapidScale bought Vonage’s hosted infrastructure services.
