Cloud-based threat detection provider Webroot released new details on its Webroot Channel Edge Reseller Program as the company looks to help grow its network of VARs, distributors, service providers and system integrators working in the small-to-medium-business SMB space.

“Channel partners are a critical component of Webroot’s growth strategy in the SMB segment, so having a strong partner enablement program is very key to our success,” said David Bennett, vice president of Worldwide Consumer and SMB Sales at Webroot, in a statement. “The new program offers an innovative set of tools designed to support our partners at every stage of the sales cycle. Our objective is to increase our network of highly skilled and motivated partners with deep expertise in our products, so our users get the best experience possible from pre-sales evaluation to post-sales support.”

Webroot’s new partner program includes exclusive access to the Channel Edge Partner Toolkit, which contains sales and marketing tools designed to help partners grow their businesses and relationships with end users, including education, deal prospecting and sales finalization, according to the release. Partners also can utilize several features such as web content syndication tools, trial software downloads and partner whitepapers to increase their proficiency with Webroot’s portfolio.

An additional resource center with sales and marketing materials as well as social syndication functionality round out the package, giving users access to the necessary avenues to promote their content and stay in touch with solutions providers.

All Webroot partners meeting specific quarterly revenue attainment will be enrolled as Elite Resellers and receive added benefits including qualified sales leads, speaking engagements, joint seminars, a dedicated channel account manager and more, according to the company. The program is available today for partners interesting in working with Webroot.

“The modern threat landscape is increasingly more sophisticated and complex, with new malware emerging constantly,” said Bennett. “Partners are hearing the demand for more effective, better performing solutions from their customers and are turning to Webroot to meet this need. With Webroot’s superior, cloud-based security solutions and our enhanced partner program, our partners can offer the best protection, improve customer satisfaction and grow their business.”
