IT distributor Avnet Inc. is buying almost all of Seamless Technologies’ assets.

Avnet did not say how much it’s paying for Seamless, a provider of IT infrastructure and cloud software, but did say the deal will have an immediate positive impact on earnings. Seamless works with companies of all sizes transitioning to private, public and hybrid clouds, and generated about $14 million in revenue last year, Avnet said.

“This latest acquisition adds a critical component to our expanding services portfolio, with private cloud, virtualization and data center automation services,” said Tony Vottima, senior vice president and general manager, Avnet Services, Americas. Our capabilities span presales through implementation, training and managed services, which create new opportunities for our suppliers and reseller partners.”

Seamless specializes in verticals including financial services, health care and insurance.  The company was founded in 1992.

Avnet’s acquisition of Seamless is expected to close within 30 days.
