Good Technology Acquires Copiun for Mobile File Sharing

Secure enterprise mobility and mobile device management solutions vendor Good Technology has acquired Copiun Inc. — a privately-held collaboration solutions company — to extend secure mobile file sharing and data syncing to customers. The financial terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed at the moment.

With this acquisition, Good Technology seeks to allow business workers to easily access, sync, and share enterprise information from anywhere, at any time, using their mobile phone or tablet. Copiun solutions enables mobile users without a VPN connection or firewall reconfiguration to directly and securely access file shares, which includes Microsoft SharePoint. According to Good Technology, the acquisition will accelerate and enhance its ability to provide customers with more productivity.

Copiun employees will become employees of Good Technology. The Copiun headquarters in Marlborough, Ma. will become a Good Technology office. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close in September.
