Peak Technologies, owned by Sole Source Capital, is buying Avalon Integration.  Peak and Avalon are full life-cycle system integrators and providers of digital supply chain, retail and mobile workforce solutions. New Jersey-based Avalon sells primarily to enterprise-level health care, grocery and consumer customers.

No word on the price tag of the acquisition.

Differentiated Solutions

Sole Source has supported Peak Technologies in four prior add-on acquisitions including Optical Phusion, Inovity, Bar Code Direct and DBK Concepts. The acquisition of Avalon marks Sole Source’s 12th investment in the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) industry.

Cross-Selling Opportunities

Peak provides solutions to Fortune 500 customers, along with midmarket businesses. As a result of the deal, the company will become more efficient and responsive to customers, it said. The acquisition of Avalon aims to give Peak Technologies significant cross-selling opportunities to blue-chip enterprise customers. Also, the acquisition exposes the company to health care, pharmaceutical and grocery end markets, and additional reach into the Northeast.
