Magnitude Software this week said it has acquired Datalytics Technologies to provide a broader set of preconfigured enterprise resource planning (ERP) analytic content.

Magnitude's Lou GuerciaMagnitude provides enterprise information management software for more than 600 enterprise customers, with more than 200,000 users in 100 countries. A data warehouse services vendor, Datalytics offers pre-built data warehouse and data-mart services for SAP and Oracle’s family of ERP systems.

Lou Guercia, Magnitude’s president, tells Channel Partners there is synergy between many areas of his company’s current focus in the marketplace and that of Datalytics.

“This provides opportunities for existing Magnitude partnerships to expand to include Datalytics technology and visa versa,” he said. “Magnitude Software’s partner program currently has more than 35 active partners.” Magnitude’s partners include technology partners; SIs and OEMs; and VARs.

The company provides pre-packed services for operational and analytical reporting. Combined with Magnitude’s Noetix services for Oracle E-Business Suite, Datalytics adds ERP content for JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and SAP HANA systems.{ad}

Datalytics has partnerships with many of the same technology partners as Magnitude, including Oracle, Microsoft and SAP, Guercia said. These partners enable them to “extend their innovative capabilities and service to their customers, and this acquisition in many cases can offer opportunities to expand partner agreements across the full platform of Magnitude Software solutions.”

Financial details of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

“The combination of Datalytics technology with Magnitude’s existing enterprise information management and business intelligence capabilities should expand Magnitude Software customers’ ability to generate value from their enterprise applications,” said Matt Aslett, research director of data platforms and analytics at 451 Research. “The acquisition enhances Magnitude Software’s potential for growth in the established and expanding reporting, analytics and data management market.”
