Exoprise App Monitoring Now Includes Public Cloud

Exoprise has expanded the capabilities of its software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud application monitoring tool to include SaaS and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) in the public cloud from any Exoprise-managed monitoring points.

Exoprise has expanded the capabilities of its CloudReady software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud application monitoring tool to include SaaS and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) in the public cloud from any Exoprise-managed monitoring points.

This follows on an announcement over the summer that saw Exoprise launch a weekly cloud health newsletter that provides performance data on mission-critical applications of various cloud providers and IaaS solutions.

With this expansion of its cloud monitoring tools, Exoprise is enabling users to deploy sensors to public cloud sites in addition to their own points of access. The end result? Exoprise customers should able to monitor the “health” and performance of any public, private or hybrid cloud application, website or service—potentially creating a powerful monitoring application for both end-user customers, cloud services providers and the channel.

To kick things off, Exoprise has launched monitoring sites in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, but the company is hoping to expand to more than 100 sites around the world within the next 12 months.

“In the past, IT teams have been forced to choose between solutions optimized to monitor within their network such as Dell Foglight or SolarWinds, or those built to monitor externally such as Dynatrace (formerly Compuware APM) or Keynote,” said Patrick Carey, vice president of Product Management and Marketing for Exoprise, in a prepared statement. “But increasingly, IT teams need both inside-out and outside-in views into the performance of their various cloud apps and services. With CloudReady they can now do both seamlessly without compromising on usability or functionality for either model.”

Could be the CloudReady-based newsletter launched in June might have been the live test and trial for this new initiative from the company.

Previously, much of the news out of Exoprise had to do specifically with the performance and health monitoring of Microsoft Office 365, which the company took to the channel at Microsoft World Partner Conference 2013.
