MacMillan’s previous positions include a brief stint as CEO of Crushpath as well as a three-year run as chief operating officer of Salesforce’s Products division. He also spent nearly five years as vice president of Product Management for Oracle’s WebCenter and Social Network division, according to LinkedIn.

“The Act-On team has done an incredible job building a world-class marketing product used by more than 3,000 customers,” said MacMillan in a statement. “Marketers are under more pressure than ever to deliver results across all aspects of the customer lifecycle, and I look forward to helping our customers deliver amazing outcomes to their teams.”

Effective immediately, MacMillan will assume the top leadership role at Act-On from founder and current CEO Raghu Raghavan, who is slated to take on the role of chief technology officer.

“Andy brings specialized talent to Act-On with his proven track-record for driving business demand and furthering customer adoption,” said Raghavan. “His experience and background will be a huge asset for the rapid growth of the company and for the continued success of our customers.”
