Centrify this week unveiled a channel program for managed service providers (MSPs) to augment its Centrify Channel Partner Network (CCPN) of distributors, systems integrators and value-added resellers (VARs).

The identity management services provider said its new MSP channel program is designed to bring secure access, authentication and authorization to customers who rely on MSPs’ cloud assets.

This program also creates a new revenue stream for existing Centrify partners who want to conduct some portion of their business as an MSP.

“Centrify believes the MSP offering will open new sources of revenue for VARs and MSPs, while simultaneously dramatically increasing security in hosted environments,” a Centrify spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud.

Service providers now can leverage Centrify’s identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) technology to address their customers’ needs for:

  • Enterprise mobility management (EMM).

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA).

  • Single sign-on (SSO) to software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications such as Concur, Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365.

  • User provisioning.

  • Virtual private network-less (VPN-less) access to on-premises applications such as Microsoft SharePoint.

“Centrify launched the new MSP channel program primarily as a way to service some of its existing reseller partners that offer SharePoint-type models and services,” a Centrify spokesperson said. “Additionally, there’s a thriving, growing SharePoint channel/marketplace, and Centrify can gain access to new revenue streams by servicing this market space.”

Gary Taggart, Centrify’s senior vice president of sales, said he believes his company’s MSP channel program allows service providers “to better secure their clients’ expanding SaaS and mobile deployments.”

He pointed out that service providers can participate in the program to deliver the same level of security as an on-premises network to customers who rely on their cloud assets.

Centrify’s MSP channel program could help the company capitalize on a global IDaaS market that is expected to grow over the next few years too.

Gartner has predicted that the global IDaaS market’s worth would increase from $500 million in 2014 to $1.24 billion in 2017, which would represent a 28.3 percent combined annual growth rate.
