Unidesk is expanding its Unidesk Solution Partner program to help VARs, system integrators and service providers expand their businesses and simplify customers’ end user computing needs.

The desktop and application management software provider said its new program will focus on providing partners with the tools and resources needed to modernize end user computing solutions and scale their virtual desktop infrastructure setups.

Unidesk said the new program will also decrease the complexity surrounding VDI so partners can increase their business and bring cost savings to their customers. Resellers are expected to benefit from reduced capital and operational costs because of the less expensive nature of VDI, according to the announcement. Unidesk’s open management solution is compatible with VMware Horizon, Citrix XenDesktop and Microsoft VDI.

The program will include standard-issue features such as lead generation, sales enablement, education and training resources and Unidesk team support. And by providing customers with easy access to the cloud, Unidesk said its solutions will serve as a means of driving users toward public cloud usage.

“Our expanded program meets the needs of our growing partner base by delivering meaningful value and impact to their business,” said Samantha Foster, vice president of Alliances and Channel at Unidesk, in a statement. “VDI has been too complex and challenging. Now, our partners—a true extension of our company—have a customer-proven solution, game-changing technology, support for Citrix, Microsoft and VMware, and the tools they need to identify, nurture, and close business.”

Unidesk currently has more than 200 partners and 20 elite partners globally, according to Channel Partners Online. The company said its program will put a heavy focus on expanding the number of elite partners and providing dedicated partners with access to the best resources.

“We are not out for a great channel land grab; we are all about and oriented around high-quality, high-value relationships that delight customers and grow our businesses together,” said Don Bulens, Unidesk’s president and CEO, in an interview with Channel Partners. “Our elite partners get marketing funding that’s not provided to all partners, and some additional resources and support.”
